Easter in Sweden

It's Easter time! I actually cannot believe it's already April, wasn't Christmas just yesterday??? Soon summer will be here again and yeah, wow.

I'm spending Easter in Sweden, just like any other holiday. I love it here, plus there's loads of snow so I can go skiing. I prefer downhill skiing, I like the speed and the rush of freedom I get while zooming down the slope. Cross-country skiing is cool too (I'm Norwegian, I'm prohibited by law from saying I don't like it (joking)), but yeah, downhill is my thing.

I don't know if you celebrate Easter, but I hope you have a nice time anyway! Don't be fooled today! Trust no one!

M.I.A.

Hey guys. Sorry I've been M.I.A. lately (I love using that acronym because it's also my name hahahah!). I actually wrote a long post in February about it, but I never posted it because I didn't feel ready. Basically there's just a lot going on for me right now.
I was supposed to be admitted to psychiatric hospital in February for three weeks, but that didn't end up happening. I had a breakdown and I don't do well with change and new environments, so I left the hospital after only a few hours.
On top of that I've had loads of schoolwork to do. I'm only a couple of months away from finishing my bachelor's degree in biomedical science and there are exams and lab work and the dissertation and yeah. Today is kind of my only day off before I start working on the dissertation tomorrow. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. Loads of pressure to do good etc. I'm working alone though, so I'm not responsible for another person's results. That's the way I prefer to do stuff. I want to be the only one responsible for my results and grades, I don't want to potentially ruin someone else's results, so I avoid group work.

I want to start writing on this blog a lot more from now on. I was thinking I could do book reviews and stuff like that, because I've been reading a lot lately and I love writing about books. Would you be interested in that?

Hugs.

Happy New Year!

Did you all have a nice December & Christmas (if you celebrate it, that is)?
I was so happy to not have any exams in December this year, apart from a short microbiology practical exam, so I felt like I could really enjoy advent and the time before Christmas.

My family celebrates Christmas up in the Swedish mountains, where we have a cottage. We're guaranteed a white Christmas up there and the atmosphere is so cosy and wonderful, so I love spending the holiday there. Since we're Norwegian, we celebrate on Christmas Eve rather than Christmas Day, and this year it was freezing cold. I'm talking -34ÂșC. C-O-L-D. But I love it. I love the snow and the cold. I'm like Elsa from Frozen; the cold never bothered me anyway!

Here are 9 snapshots from my December. Hope you're all having a great Sunday!
